Carmina Villaroel only hopes for the very best for her twins, Mavy and Cassy Legaspi. The actress-host posed a strong case about her motherly love for her kids, especially to Mavy who has been facing some controversies about his love life.
On January 6, 2024, the twins celebrated their 23rd birthday during a Sarap, 'Di Ba? episode. Carmina had the most heartfelt message for Mavy and Cassy—which of course, included some of her sentiments as a mother.
Her message came with a *careful* disclaimer to everyone. "Ang wish ko lang talaga is to have inner peace and inner joy. I'm trying to be careful because baka bigyan ng ibig sabihin 'yung mga sasabihin ko," she began.
Before she could even say another word, Carmina together with Mavy broke into tears. "Tatay and I are just happy that you're back," Carmina told her son.
Without dropping names, she continued to touch up on some rumors that accused her of meddling too much with her son's affairs in the previous months. Mavy has been embroiled in a controversy concerning his alleged breakup with fellow Kapuso star Kyline Alcantara.

She furthered, "You know that I've been quiet for the past how many years; hindi ko alam bakit sinasabi nilang nangingialam ako, but I don't care because I am your mother. Kung nakialam ako, hindi mangyayari ito. So it only means, hindi ako nakialam."
Just like most parents, Carmina vowed to be the most supportive and protective of her twins. She declared her unwavering love for the twins no matter the difficulties thrown at them. More importantly, she highly noted that they ought to be their greatest allies and never Mavy and Cassy's enemies.
"I want you to know the two of you, that I will do everything and anything para sa inyong dalawa.[...] We always want what’s best for you; hindi kami mga kontrabida ng buhay ninyo, kakampi ninyo kami," Carmina proclaimed.
In November 2023, Carmina had some cryptic posts that netizens think were directed at all the issues surrounding Mavy. In one of her posts, she wrote, "Dear Mavy and Cassy... People can destroy your image, damage your personality, [and] create rumors about you, but they can never take away your good deeds. Because no matter how they describe you, you will always be admired by those who love you best."
Carmina never mentioned a specific issue, but her posts came mere days after the rumors of Mavy and Kyline breaking up due to an alleged cheating issue surfaced. Until now, the two young stars are mum about their relationship status.
