According to eagle-eyed netizens, Catriona Gray has apparently made some changes to her vibrant Instagram feed.
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the beauty queen reportedly removed photos of her engagement to actor Sam Milby. It's unconfirmed whether the posts were archived or deleted. What's clear is that, as of writing, the engagement pics are nowhere to be found in her account.
The two announced their engagement in February 2023. Cat and Sam first made the announcement by posting a couple pic of the two of them toasting twinning cups of coffee. "Living in an answered prayer with my best friend," Catriona said. She was also seen wearing her engagement ring in that pic.
Dreamy and romantic portraits of the two were also uploaded on her Instagram account.
As of writing, these photos are now inaccessible through Catriona's IG account, however Sam still has the photo posted on his Instagram. His caption remains, "I (FINALLY) put a ring on it! I love you my forever koala... now my fiancé."

"I think it’s definitely a conscious decision, an intentional decision to keep our relationship private. Because we don’t want it to be a public consumable," she said.

Despite the couple maintaining their low-key relationship, the public continued to speculate about breakup rumors between the two. It all began in late 2023 when the theory that they had called off their engagement spread on the internet like wildfire.
Netizens was intrigued on whether they actually called it quits. Some were even directly asking Catriona via her social media accounts. A comment read, "Queen hindi na ba tuloy ang kasal kaya hindi mo na sinusuot ang engagement ring?" Subsequently, Cat and Sam would be spotted together in public, debunking the breakup rumors.

Fans quickly spotted a photo of the two together amid the speculations last February 2024. One of their friends, Isabel Oli, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram during a Cornerstone Entertainment event, which included a snap of her with Catriona and Sam, sitting beside each other. Fans rejoiced upon seeing the couple in one frame again!
However, just days after that photo of the couple went viral, their agency, Cornerstone Entertainment, released a statement clarifying the breakup controversy.
The statement neither confirmed nor denied the couple's alleged separation. Instead, it conveyed how Sam and Cat are actively resolving the issues privately. "While it is true that Sam and Catriona are currently facing some challenges in their relationship, they are actively working on resolving these issues together," the statement read.
As of writing, there has been no clear confirmation yet on Catriona and Sam's current relationship status.
