On December 9, the Philippines’ bet to the Miss Universe 2019 pageant Gazini Ganados still made us proud despite not being able to bring home the crown. Gazini, who managed to land a spot in the Top 20 contestants, still made her countrymen proud as being part of a prestigious beauty pageant is already a feat in itself.
Anne Curtis posted on Twitter, “Maraming salamat, @gazzzini. You made us proud!”
Bianca Gonzalez wrote, “Thank you for representing the country so well, @gazzzini!!!!”
Charlene Gonzales, who represented the country at the Miss Universe 1994 competition, said, “So beautiful inside and out.”
Kim Chiu shared a photo of Gazini’s national costume on Instagram Stories and congratulated the beauty queen for landing a spot in the Top 20.
Ruffa Gutierrez, who won Binibining Pilipinas World in 1993, wrote, “Thank you for trying your best @gazzzini.”
Tim Yap posted an uplifting Twitter message as he said, “Would have wanted to see @gazzzini wear the gown Cary Santiago made for her. Still, good job, Gazini!!! We are still behind you. Chin up, Philippines!”
Tricia Gosingtian tuned in to the live telecast of Miss Universe and cheered Gazini on.
Vice Ganda said, “Sabi ni Gazini ‘No one shall be left behind,’ so walang iwanan!!! We still love [you], Gazini!!!”
