You're probably thinking 2019 couldn't possibly top last year's celebrity wedding extravaganza. Meghan and Harry, Priyanka and Nick, Hailey and Justin... I mean, come on. Well, you'd be wrong. There are more than a few power couples scheduled to tie the knot in the New Year. Here, all the celebrity weddings we can (probably) expect in 2019.
New Year, new Jonas. The frontman (29) and Game of Thrones star (22) have been engaged for two years, and finally set to get hitched in France this summer. Maisie Williams has confirmed her bridesmaid status, and you can probably expect future sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra to play a part in the bridal party.
2. Lady Gaga and Christian Carino
Gaga (32) confirmed her engagement to talent-agent Christian (49) back in October 2018. No word yet on when the wedding will take place, Gaga promises it will be "hugely elaborate," according to Entertainment Tonight. Who's surprised?
3. Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner
If anyone can pull off a top-secret wedding event, it's these two right here (they had a lot of practice with baby Stormi). In December 2019, pretty credible rumors began circulating that Travis (26) put a ring on Kylie's (21) finger after just over a year of dating. In fact, some think the two have already said their vows for real. I would not be shocked if the rapper and makeup mogul became the Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth of 2019.
4. Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry
Back in August 2018, Miles (31) got engaged to his girlfriend of four years, model Keleigh Sperry (26) while on safari in South Africa. You have GOT to take a look at this ring. The lion is pretty cool, too.
5. Karl Glusman and Zoë Kravitz
Zoe, 29, and actor Karl, 30, started dating two years ago after meeting at a bar with friends, and their engagement was just as low-key. Zoe told The Rolling Stone that Glusman attempted to propose to her in Paris but, after work conflicts, ended up proposing at home in their living room. "I was in sweatpants...I think I was a little drunk," said the Big Little Lies star.
I'm imagining the boho-chic wedding now.
6. Idris Elba and Sabrina Dhowre
Internet husband Idris Elba is about to become an actual husband for the third time (46). People's 2018 Sexiest Man Alive proposed to the model (29) at the screening of his directorial debut back in February. I can't say I'm not heartbroken, but I'm trying to be happy for them.
Idris and Sabrina attended the royal wedding back in May, so here's hoping Meghan and Prince Harry will return the favor.
7. Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti
This one's for you, #BachelorNation! Ashley and Jared (both 30) competed on The Bachelor and Bachelorette, respectively. Luckily, those didn't pan out and the couple met on the 2015 Bachelor In Paradise series, sparking a romance for the ages, complete with many ups and downs over the course of a few seasons. Though only dating officially for one month, Jared proposed back in June 2018—on Paradise, of course!
The couple is planning their wedding for August 2019 in Rhode Island, and I have my pinning hand READY.
