When it comes to lifting my mood, there are very few things in this world that are as effective as seeing Cha Eun Woo's smile. He turns me into Paolo Vallisari from The Lizzie McGuire Movie because all I want to say is, "You shine like the light from the sun." So when I saw this video on my YouTube feed, you better believe I stopped scrolling.
Uploaded on the ASTRO YouTube channel on March 30 (our bb's birthday), here's eight minutes and 31 seconds of Eun Woo making a crepe cake for his parents aka being the sweetest.
His ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 40 g of sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 150 g of soft flour
- 375 g of milk
- 53 g of unsalted butter, melted
He reveals that he isn't a good cook, admitting that he watched a lot of YouTube videos prior to baking day. He whisks everything in a medium-sized bowl until everything's combined, calling the task "a fight against myself." He sets it aside for 30 minutes. The next step is to make 10 layers of crepes, making sure that every piece is around the same size.
Cha Eun Woo uses a cutter to make it all even. He then slices bananas, kiwis, and strawberries—popular fruits Koreans love to include in their desserts. He slathers whipped cream on every layer before adding the fruits.
Like a good son, he delivers the cake to his parents' home and ends the video with, "Mom, thanks for bringing me into this world. I love you so much. And thank you, dad."
