Charlie Dizon is really living her best life RN. From winning big at the recent Gawad Urian Awards to marrying the love of her life Carlo Aquino, she's now enjoying heartwarming moments with Carlo's daughter, Enola Mithi.
On Sunday night, June 23, 2024, a fan page dedicated to Charlie uploaded several photos on Instagram. The photos showed Charlie carrying Mithi and they even shared a kiss! Charlie and Mithi were also spotted candidly playing together. This is the first time that the two were confirmed to be together in public!
The Internet has waited for so long to see Charlie and Mithi together. ICYDK, Mithi is Carlo's daughter with her former partner, Trina Candaza. And it's no secret that Carlo and Trina have had a controversial and quite messy past that left people thinking if they'd be able to reconcile for their daughter.
Recently, there were a lot of speculations and intrigue as well as to why Mithi was allegedly not invited to her father's wedding as part of the entourage or even only as a guest. It was showbiz insider Ogie Diaz who reported about Trina clarifying the situation to the curious public. "Carlo didn’t ask if pwedeng umattend si Mithi," Trina revealed to Ogie.
Ogie noted that Trina was okay with Mithi attending Carlo and Charlie's wedding. It was just that Carlo didn't ask.

If you're wondering why it's quite a big deal to see Charlie and Mithi together, it's mainly because Carlo and Trina didn't end their relationship on good terms. After they called it quits in 2022, it was reported that they struggled to create a balanced co-parenting setup for Mithi.
Not wanting to be tagged as an "absent father," Carlo let out a controversial tirade against Trina during a January 2023 interview. At the time, Carlo pleaded if he could also see Mithi since he has been providing for her needs. He even noted that his ex-partner hadn't been replying to his messages back then.
"Ang nakakaapekto lang talaga sa akin is hindi ko nakikita yung daughter ko since November,” he shares. "Basta nag-reach out po ako. Tinanong ko po kung kailan ko pwedeng makasama, New Year ba, kasi usually ganun po eh. Wala pong sagot. Sana, ‘di ba, mahiram ko naman. Tutal nagpo-provide ako para sa kanilang dalawa," he strongly proclaimed.
Days after Carlo's explosive statement, Trina directly fired back and refuted all his claims. Trina tearfully revealed in an interview that not once did she try to hide Mithi from Carlo, but it was the actor who never came to see their daughter.
"Hindi ko ipinagdadamot [ang anak ko], it's just that...hindi siya pumupunta. He knows kung nasaan kami, and he knows na very welcome siya doon sa bahay kung saan kami nag-Christmas. For me, it's his choice kung gusto niya ba talagang makasama yung anak niya," Trina expressed.
Trina also emphasized that Carlo has always been giving his "bare minimum" as a father to Mithi. "Nagagampanan naman niya, pero he will only give the bare minimum, he will not extend efforts," she remarked in an interview.
Months later, reports about Carlo allegedly filing a legal suit for his visitation rights for Mithi circulated online. In September 2023, PEP.ph received an undated photo of Carlo carrying his daughter Mithi outside of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court. It was reportedly sent by a reporter from the local news outlet, DZRH.
According to PEP.ph's report, Carlo has filed a case to acquire visitation rights over Mithi, and the photo allegedly occurred during one of their court hearings.
As months passed by, Trina and Carlo would be seen together on some occasions involving Mithi like her moving up ceremony and some of Mithi's birthday celebrations through the years.
After all, both want only the best for their daughter. Trina, for one, seems to have let go of the past and is now moving forward in life. She's been booked and busy with back-to-back endorsements and business ventures as a single mom. While Carlo, as we all know, has finally settled down with Charlie.
"Kahit papaano parang nakapag-forgive na ako sa past... Yun ngayon na lang, sana maayos na [ang lahat] for Mithi," she once declared in an interview about her past relationship with Carlo.
