Sometimes there are really people who suck the fun out of everything. Most of the time, you can ignore it completely, but there are times when these types of people should be called out and put them in their place, FR. If there's someone who can tell us how to do it, it would be Chie Filomeno.
In her recent Instagram post, Chie wrote a heartwarming post for her brother, Rio Filomeno. It was a celebratory post for Rio's recently concluded college graduation ceremony.
Chie captioned, "I'm so lucky that you get to call me 'Ate.' Rio, no words can describe how proud we are of you. You're now opening a new chapter of your life, know that we will always be here for you through thick and thin. Especially ate, okay? Life would be so hard without you in it, everything that I do. I do for you, my best friend."
It included some of their photos together and of course, a family photo, highlighting their biggest smiles for Rio's milestones. Rio also left the sweetest comment for Chie. "I love you ate. Thank you for all your sacrifices for us," the fresh graduate said.
ICYDK, Chie is the family's breadwinner and she has always been proud and open about it. For the Kapamilya actress, her family is her greatest source of energy and motivation. Even though she was left with no choice but to step up for her family, she would do it over and over again.
"No choice. But still, kahit ano mang obstacle yan, pipiliin ko pa rin maging breadwinner. Hindi siya utang na loob eh. It’s more of, ito yung parang tanaw ng pagmamahal ko sa kanila, sa parents ko," Chie noted in a previous interview with Push.

Chie Filomeno Claps Back At IG User Who Commented On Her Brother's Nose
Comments celebrating and congratulating Chie and her family kept coming. Well, until someone made an unusual comment saying, "Mukhang nagpaayos na din ng nose si brother." Clearly, it was an out-of-place remark.
Chie directly shut down the comment and also reminded the commenter that her post is supposed to be a positive and happy post for everyone. "Nope, natural na natural yan. Idk what your intention is because clearly, this post is nothing but positivity. [insert kiss emoji]."

This is not the first time that Chie has given straightforward responses to people on social media. She has always been vocal about a lot of things—and one of those is when people call her out for her body as well.
One time in 2023, Chie called out a TikTok viewer for saying that Chie has been encouraging everyone to go under the knife, instead of embracing what people would describe as "natural beauty."
Chie did not hold back and responded with a lengthy but meaningful explanation, "Una sa lahat, wala po tayong ine-encourage, at wala po akong sinasabi na ito ang tamang gawin. Wala naman pong masama sa pagpaparetoke o sa pag-e-enhance ng kung anong meron ka. Kung ito ang sa tingin mo ang magpapasaya sayo, magbibigay confidence sayo, why not do it? Wala ka namang natatapakang tao, wala kang nasasaktang tao."
She added, "Parang ang sama-sama naming tao for doing something that would make us happy na wala kaming inaapakang tao. I’m not saying that this is the right thing to do, pero sana lawakan pa natin yung understanding natin sa topic na to." Indeed, you do you Chie.
