Over the weekend, we got to watch the first two episodes of The King: Eternal Monarch, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun. The child actor who played the younger version of Lee Min Ho caught our eye, not just because he's super cute, but because he is such a great and professional actor! That scene where he suddenly broke down crying on the floor after his father's funeral rites? K-drama gold!
Here are five things you need to know about South Korean child actor Jung Hyeon Jun:
1. Hyeon Jun was born on November 8, 2011.
He started modeling at a young age, based on his mom's Instagram posts, which date back to 2015.
2. His most famous role is as Park Da Song in Bong Joon Ho's 2019 film Parasite.
Da Song is the second child and only son of the rich Park family. His mom hires "Jessica" (Park So Dam) to become his art therapist, not knowing that she doesn't have any qualifications at all. In the movie, Da Song was traumatized after seeing a "ghost" in their house.
"I thought it would be awesome to get it, and we actually won the award! So I am wondering if I am in heaven. I think I was born to receive an Oscar," Hyeon Jun said in an interview with the Associated Press. Watch him celebrate their historic Oscars win here:
3. He was also in Dr. Romantic Season 2 (2020), Vagabond (2019), and Moment At Eighteen (2019).

4. His first role in a drama was in You Are Too Much in 2017.
In an IG post, Hyeon Jun's mom joked that the role was "easy" for him because there was no dialogue yet!
5. Hyeon Jun is currently signed under T1 Entertainment.
It's also the agency of Crash Landing On You's Oh Han Kyul, who plays our favorite wiretapper's son Pil-suk in the show. We can't wait to see more of these two!
