1. Claudia Barretto is an Atenista.
Claudia studied BS Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University, and get this: she was a consistent honor student! Her mom, Marjorie Barretto, expressed how proud she was of Claudia.
"Congratulations, Claudia! I will never forget how happy you made me feel today. I am so proud of you. You are so ready for this new chapter in your life. I will always be behind and beside you. I love you," Marjorie wrote in a 2022 post, sharing snaps of Claudia's graduation shots.
2. Claudia Barretto is a passionate singer-songwriter.
Yup, it's true—Claudia can sing! She has this magnificent voice that just makes you want to listen to her all day. Moreover, she has long shared in public how songwriting has become a passion of hers. Even during her college years, her heart has been set to producing songs, which she did years later.
"I'm just hyperfocused on music. That's my passion. I haven't explored acting, I don't even know if I'm capable. It's something to keep in mind, but, of course, my heart and soul belong to music," Claudia once said in an interview where she was asked if she ever considered doing acting projects.
In a 2021 podcast episode with Hannah Pangilinan, Claudia opened up about how music and writing songs made her life more fulfilling. This is something she found out about herself during the pandemic.
"Originally, when the whole quarantine started, and everything started happening, I was so afraid that my mental health was going to decline, but the complete opposite happened. I needed to block off a lot of the noise. And I started to read more, I started to write more, I started to think more," she shared.
Claudia further explained the beauty of songwriting and even just writing essays and poems for her. "When I wrote songs, or essays, or poems, or whatever, I was just present...It became more purposeful, and the things that I was doing with myself became fulfilling," she said.
At present, Claudia has released a couple of songs. Some of her latest ones were "Won't Take It," "Nothing To Do," and "HEAD/HEART."
3. Claudia Barretto has a mental health podcast.
Claudia has a podcast called MINDGAMES—and we're telling you, we learned a lot about life and ourselves because of Claudia. Claudia is amazingly empowering as she advocates for everyone to feel normal talking about mental health, and the matters of their mind, of their selves.
One of the things that Claudia said and which stuck with us after hearing it, was her take on people being afraid to ask for help when it comes to mental health issues.
"I think we should also change the language, the way it's approached. We keep saying, 'It shouldn't be something that people are ashamed of.' I think we should be saying, 'It would be really brave of you if you sought out the help that you needed,'" Claudia underscored during her podcast.
4. She was part of the Thai movie, Friend Zone.
You read that right—Claudia was indeed part of the famous Thai movie, Friend Zone. To be specific, she had a cameo in it! The movie stars Thai A-listers (and now-ex-lovers) Baifern Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul and Nine Naphat Siangsomboon.

5. She's been living the low-key celebrity life.
