It’s been a great year! Yup, that’s right: In Cosmopolitan Philippines’ 26th year, we went all out with our fun, fearless, forward digital covers—featuring iconic stars to represent our brand each month.
From January’s body positivity issue to our very first queer cover star in Pride Month to a billboard feature for our year-end cover star, this year has been full of milestones, and we’ve had a hell of a time sharing these stars’ inspiring stories.
Just like the articles we share daily at Cosmo, our cover stars’ interviews were also full of thought-provoking quotes—and we can only wish that each one of them taught you to live your most unapologetic life and be the best version of yourselves—all while having fun on the side, too!
Below, the stars that graced Cosmo’s covers for 2023:
January: Andrea Torres
Kapuso actress Andrea sizzled in Cosmo's athleisure-themed cover, serving up fashion-forward acrobatic lewks that still live rent-free in our heads.
Line to remember: "I think you always have to be humble, and you have to provide a healthy environment for everyone. Feeling ko daig ng talent or ng fame yung someone that's easy to work with."

February: David Licauco
Remember when one of the country's hottest leading men and Maria Clara at Ibarra breakout star captured hearts in his first solo Cosmo cover last February? (He was featured several times as a Cosmo bachelor way back print era, btw.) Yup, we're still not over his charm.
Line to remember: "If you really want something, it will take time. I just always stick to my why. I’ll just do my best, whatever it takes for me to successful."

March: Nadine Lustre
The Internet's President Nadine as our headliner for this year's Women's Month cover and annual Women of Influence awardees. Nuff said. She'll always be an inspo and life peg!
Line to remember: "Even if it’s difficult, it’s still a blessing [that] I still get to breathe. It’s one thing I really, really need in my life, especially with the kind of work I put myself into. I need days of me just breathing and not doing anything and being with nature."

April: Sue Ramirez
Sun's out, dive in! Ineffably cool Sue catches an easy breeze in our sizzling summer cover.
Line to remember: "I was brought up to embrace and love my imperfections. I know that when I come home to my family I am loved, and that's the only validation I need."

May: Janella Salvador
Darna star Janella is a total stunner in a medieval-themed cover for the month celebrating Mother's Day.
Line to remember: “I was receiving a lot of concerns who were there for me [ever] since — ‘What if I don’t come back after giving birth?’ ‘What if I’m not the same as before?’ I guess I just have so much willpower in me. No matter what happens, I was going to get back. I’m a performer and I’m an actress and nothing was going to change that even if I gave birth. I’m still me; I just gave birth,”

June: Mimiyuuuh
For our Pride month, there was no better star to grace our cover than THE Mimiyuuuh, who turned heads in a burlesque-inspired shoot.
Line to remember: “Nagkaroon po ng stereotype yung mga tao na, ah, kapag bading ka, dapat successful ka. And now I want to show people na, parang normal na po makakita ng bading na femme, na makulit, na madaldal, na magalaw. Na, ‘ay okay lang pala maging bading na ganito eh, kasi kung si Mimi nga naging successful in her own way, eh kaya ko rin in my own way. Alam niyo po, based sa social context, okay lang naman na hindi maging perfect. Basta maging ikaw.”

July: Chie Filomeno
Chie served face and body goals during our July cover, stunning everyone with her Koreana-inspired lewk.
Line to remember: "Wag na tayo mangialam ng kung anong magpapasaya sa ibang tao! Hindi lang celebrities ha. [Even to] everyday people. And I’m happy na finally, nagiging progressive tayo sa area na ‘yun. But hindi talaga mawawala yung mga taong mahilig mag-judge. Madaming sinasabi. Malungkot ang buhay nila.”

August: Joshua Garcia
Bankable leading man and resident TikTok cutie Joshua is a scene-stealer in our August cover.
Line to remember: “Sexy to me is not always how a person looks but more of how they carry themselves: their values, intelligence, etiquette, and manners.”

September: Kylie Padilla
Sorry, the old Kylie can't come to the phone rn. Why? 'Cause she's dead. Kylie Padilla in her Reputation era in Cosmo's September cover has got to be one for the books.
Line to remember: "Lahat naman tayo, ano e, pagdadaanan natin e. It's part of life too, 'di ba? Not all loves are meant to be forever."

October: Pia Wurtzbach
Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach channels her inner Mia Thermopolis in our recent royalty-themed shoot. Once a queen, always a queen indeed.
Line to remember: “If it's not a hell yes, then it's not a yes. Ganun lang.”

November: Heaven Peralejo
Trending star Heaven looked like a literal angel from above in our November cover, and we're still not over it!
Line to remember: “I'm a very lucky girl. I see myself as a lucky girl. I think I have this lucky girl syndrome. Kasi kahit nagkaroon naman ako ng rough patches, I rose from them. And I don’t know, man, I feel like everything’s just falling into place, whether the good or the bad. It's just paving its own way.”

December: Bea Alonzo
Last but not least on this list is our latest cover girl Bea, who is head over heels and is currently in her ~*lovergirl* era. Well deserved and we're so happy for you, B!
Line to remember: “There was a time, actually, that I didn't really see myself getting married anymore. But of course, when Dom proposed, alam ko na that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.”
