Cristine Reyes says it doesn't bother her that she has been single for six years now. The 34-year-old actress and mom of one also revealed she's not yet interested in finding love again.
"Feeling ko dapat muna mag-background check muna tayo sa lahat bago pa man. Kapag iisipin ko yung nakaraan parang preno muna, ganun muna," she said in an interview with GMA.
When asked if it's because of trauma from her previous relationship, she said it's more about learning that she doesn't have to "force things."
What keeps Cristine happy and inspired
Nevertheless, she's happy with where she is right now, with her 8-year-old daughter Amarah.
"Hindi ko nararamdaman na single mom ako kasi I'm happy, e. I think ngayon ko naramdaman na masaya ako with everything. Ganun siguro kapag kuntento ka na sa buhay mo, wala kang hinahangad na masyadong mataas. Kuntento ka lang kung anong ibigay sa'yo."
She said Amarah has been a huge factor in her life decisions.
"She straightened up my life, siya yung fortress ko, siya talaga yung pag lost na ako, I would go back and just titingnan ko lang siya na napaka-inosente. I want to give her everything that I didn't have."
"I'm so happy that I have a child na napakabait, napakatalino," she added.
Last year, Cristine shared that she is a proud mommy to Amarah who has been into football.
Cristine has also been enjoying her life with her pets, too.
Cristine and her ex-husband mixed martial arts fighter Ali Khatibi welcomed their daughter in 2015. The two got married in an intimate wedding the year after. They parted ways in 2019, but Cristine said they were "civil" and "on good terms."
