It’s no secret that David Licauco is the newest heartthrob to watch out for, thanks to his successful acting stint in the hit series Maria Clara at Ibarra and his love team with Barbie Forteza (which totally stole our hearts, btw). While David has been in the industry for years now, his character in the historical teleserye was definitely the breakout role that opened even more doors for him, including a ~possible~ film with Barbie!
He broke the news during his interview with Nelson Canlas when asked if he has upcoming projects after Maria Clara at Ibarra. “I think I have a movie with Barbie Forteza. Actually dalawa. I heard din na magkakaroon kami ng teleserye ni Barbie.”

“What I don’t want lang to happen is be like a one-hit wonder. Umangat yung career ko because of Fidel, but that’s it,” he shares. “May mga ibang artista na one hit nagkaroon ka ng proyekto, isa lang, tapos okay ka na. I want to have a sustainable career, sana ma-keep up ko yung what I have right now. Who does not want that?”
