Contrary to reports, Denise Laurel is "having the best time" of her life, taking care of her son and embracing singlehood.
On Twitter, the actress called out a news report that insinuated that Denise was struggling as a single mom.
The now-deleted newspiece was posted on Twitter and had the caption: "Struggle is real para sa aktres na si Denise Laurel tungkol sa kanyang pagiging single and working mom sa kanyang anak na si Davian Alejandro or Bukie."
"I hate this headline so much cause it's so false. Please change it," the actress said.

In another tweet, Denise urged the news media outlet to take down the article. "HOW DO YOU THINK MY SON AND FAMILY WOULD FEEL READING THAT WHEN THEY ARE SO GOOD TO ME," she wrote.
Denise gave birth to her unico hijo, Davian Alejandro aka Bukie in 2011. In a 2022 podcast episode with Wil Dasovich, Denise opened up about motherhood and her son's father.
She told the story of how she almost lost Bukie during her pregnancy. "I was 23, in the middle of my career. [...] When I found out I was pregnant I almost lost him but that's how I found out. I was filming every day and I was on a liquid diet," Denise narrated during the podcast.
And although she didn't end up with Bukie's father, she still sees her son as "the best gift" she has ever received. "No, I wasn't prepared but you know what? I've always wanted to be a mom."
