Linda Marie Gorton, a Filipino-Australian ex-girlfriend of Dennis Padilla, broke her silence regarding the recent interview of the actor about child support and their co-parenting setup for their two children Gavin and Maddie in Australia.
In an interview with entertainment journalist Aster Amoyo on April 12, Dennis claimed that he and his ex-partner “had a proper conversation and have come up with a good co-parenting arrangement” and he was providing support for his children living overseas.
"Yes, maayos naman, maganda naman yung co-parenting arrangement namin, and regular ko naman silang nakakausap ng video call,” Dennis emphasized.
Dennis Padilla's Ex-Partner Breaks Silence On Their Co-Parenting Set-Up
In a recent Instagram post, Gorton expressed her side of the story and debunked Dennis’ claim about co-parenting their two children. Gorton denied that they had a “formal conversation” about co-parenting their children and that the only factual thing about the statement is his constant connection with them.

“We don’t have a co-parenting set up because since we parted ways in July of 2020, we never had a formal conversation about our separation and how we will raise our kids. Basta nakakausap niya lang ang mga bata,” Gorton explained.
Additionally, Gorton highlighted Padilla’s inconsistency in providing child support, emphasizing that these lapses necessitate her persistent requests for it because failing to do so would result in delayed and incomplete support from the actor.
“Through the years there were many lapses in between. And many times I had to, and still have to persistently ask for it kasi kung pababayaan ko matagal at kulang kulang ang padala," she stated.
Gorton also countered Padilla's claim that child support was "madugo."
"For the past three and a half years, dun na sila nakatira, so medyo madugo ang labanan, child support. Mahal ang dolyar, e. Child support tayo, Australian dollars din. Awa ng Diyos, I am able to support and I am able to send their monthly child support,” Padilla claimed.
“I don't know what 'madugo' meant in his statement when this is what was more or less the normal expenses for the kids even back then when we were still together… And not to mention they go to school here for free. No tuition fees are needed because they both attend a public school. So less expense for him really,” Gorton reflected.
“Child Support Wasn’t Always the Case”
Reflecting on the situation, Gorton concluded that the separation between her and the actor goes beyond "hindi pagkakaintindihan" or misunderstanding as claimed by the actor, nor was it about their financial situation and child support.
She stressed that she stayed with him for almost twelve years regardless of the financial circumstances, highlighting that "financial problems" cannot be singled out as the sole reason.
“I stayed for him and I stayed for the kids because I wanted a complete family for all of us. But just like most things in life, you can't have everything you want. In the end, if there were many new things that he learned in life just like he said, so did I. I learned more about self-worth, patience, understanding, and to only speak the truth,” she resolved.

Linda captioned her Instagram post with links related to Dennis' reaction to Julia Barretto's birthday greeting and the circulating rumors speculating Marjorie Barretto was the cause of the recent separation.
