Everything About My Wife is now showing in cinemas—and one of the things you can't miss about the film are Dennis Trillo and Sam Milby's Magic Mike-like scenes. (That, and the good chunk of romance and comedy in every scene, FR.)
We call it "Magic Mike," because that's how Sam described it during our exclusive chat back in February 13. At the time, we asked the lead cast of Everything About My Wife, including Jennylyn Mercado, about the most unforgettable scenes that they did in the film—in other words, something that they haven't done yet before in their past projects.

Sam told Cosmopolitan Philippines prior to the film's premiere screening that he danced in the film—and no, it's not the kind of dance that we usually see on social media. (Even Dennis attested that it's different from TikTok dances.)
"Like a Magic Mike [scene]—feeling like that," Sam said as he described the kind of dance that he did for the film. ICYDK, he was referencing Channing Tatum's comedy drama, Magic Mike, where he played the role of a male stripper. So when we say "Magic Mike," we automatically think of a lap dance.
"I'm not a dancer. I felt so awkward trying to do this. It was so out of my comfort zone but there was a scene where I had to dance," the 40-year-old actor told Cosmo. Although in general, as he mentioned multiple times throughout the film's press conference prior to our chat, his role as Miguel was definitely new ground for him as well.
But incorporating the daring dance into his character added an extra layer of intensity for Sam. "But the character in general for me is super out of my comfort zone. I see. So it was a challenge for me but that's one scene I remembered about it," he said.

Dennis himself answered that he also has his fair share of scenes where he danced like he never did before—we don't want to spoil too much, but yes, we think we've seen it all. (Just a quick note—you'll never look at sunflowers and scented candles the same way again after watching the scenes Dennis and Sam talked about!)
As for Jennylyn, she disclosed that it was her first time to act in her underwear for a film. But it's nothing too spicy for her—it's Dennis and Sam's scenes that were quite hot and hilarious at the same time.
What is Everything About My Wife?
Everything About My Wife is a rom-com film directed by Real Florido. This is the first film that Dennis and Jennylyn did after they got married in 2021. It's also a reunion project for Jennylyn and Sam, who first worked together in 2015 for the rom-com, The Prenup.
In the film, Dennis' character, Dom, is determined to end his marriage—without being the one to call it off. He seizes an opportunity when his neighbor, Miguel (Sam Milby), takes an interest in his wife, Imo (Jennylyn Mercado). Dom devises a plan for Miguel to seduce Imo, hoping it will push her away and grant him the freedom he craves. But things take an unexpected turn when Miguel genuinely falls for Imo—and Dom realizes she was exactly what he needed all along.
In our Cosmo Couple interview with Dennis and Jennylyn, the two shared why they gave their sweet 'yes' to the story. They saw it as an opportunity to share meaningful lessons—both as individuals and as a couple. To them, it felt real.
Dennis enthusiastically explained, "Nangyari sa totoong buhay yung mga eksena na ginawa namin doon. Yung iba nangyari talaga sa amin. Naka-relate kami mismo pero maganda rin kasi yung lesson na matututunan na yung pagiging mag-asawa hindi lang palaging saya. May time na magkaroon kayo ng problems, may time na mauumay ka, dahil lagi mo siyang kasama."
