Dominic Roque joins the list of public personalities who have filed cyber libel cases against Cristy Fermin. The actor was spotted yesterday, May 31, 2024, at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Pasig City to file the criminal case.

Cristy Swiftly Replies To The Case Filed Anew
According to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Dominic's case against Cristy is over allegedly malicious statements and innuendos the showbiz journalist made on her YouTube show Showbiz Now Na.
GMA Integrated News entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas shared photos of Dominic filing the case in the prosecutor's office on his Instagram account.
Dominic also shared a clip from the prosecutor's office via his Instagram Stories.
PEP.ph reached out to Cristy for a statement regarding Dominic's case. "Karapatan ng sinuman ang maghain ng kaso laban kaninuman. May piskalya namang huhusga sa asunto. Nandun ang laban, wala sa labas," replied Cristy to PEP.ph.
Dominic released a statement against Cristy through his legal counsel Fernandez & Singson Law Offices in February this year. The statements came after Cristy allegedly tried to link Dominic to a "politician benefactor."
The same statement clarified that Dominic and ex-fiancée Bea Alonzo did not have a dispute over a pre-nuptial agreement, contrary to some allegations that floated around post-split.
"Mr. Dominic Roque and Ms. Bea Alonzo never fought nor had a disagreement over a pre-nuptial agreement. Reckless statements relating to the alleged disagreement over a pre-nuptial agreement between them are, not only unverified, but merely based on speculations intended to produce a negative image on the parties concerned," read the statement.

On May 2, 2024, Bea filed several complaints of cyber libel against Cristy and Ogie Diaz. "She was greatly devastated by all these defamatory statements thrown against her," said Jose Manolo Garcia, Bea's legal counsel, to PEP.ph.
On May 10, 2024, Sharon Cuneta and former senator Kiko Pangilinan also filed a cyber libel case in Makati City against Cristy. In an interview, Sen. Kiko told Pep.ph, Cybercrime law dahil malicious and imputation of defamation of our persons. Sabi nga natin, na yes we are public figures, but we also have rights."
