Ella Pangilinan is speaking out about "responsible journalism" as her way of calling out "unverified" news reports, and she clearly makes her point.
Ella is Donny Pangilinan's older sister. In fact, she is the eldest of the Pangilinan kids. On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the fashion designer took a swipe at unnamed local news outlets.
"Something I find really crazy about supposedly reputable PH news outlets is that they can make "news" out of chismis / stories that are entirely untrue. How is that responsible journalism?" she wrote in her Instagram story.
Ella's IG story comes days after Donny became the talk of the town for allegedly taking an interest in Kathryn Bernardo. Showbiz insider Ogie Diaz reported on the speculation of Donny and Kath's connection. Donny and Kathryn are both homegrown artists under the same agency, Star Magic.
"'Yun ‘yung nakarating lang sa akin. Ngayon, na kay Donny na ‘yan kung gusto niyang aminin na minsan pinormahan or niligawan niya si Kathryn, kaya lang naudlot," Ogie stated in his vlog.
During the past few days, Ogie also reported about two more actors who have allegedly started courting Kathryn—Alden Richards and Jericho Rosales.

Just hours after the video blew up on the Internet, Robi took it upon himself to clear the air—speaking up on behalf of Donny. He wrote, "Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please."
