It's a normal occurrence to see Doug posting about his daughter, Kendra Kramer. However, what piqued the attention of netizens, was his "so-called conservatism" that was implied in his IG story caption.
His IG story showed a photo of Kendra wearing a crop top as they were flying abroad. Doug captioned, "@kendrakramer bitin yung top mo. I assure you, you're the only flying international with a crop top."
According to their Instagram snaps, the father-daughter duo is currently enjoying the chilly weather of San Francisco, California.
Doug also posted a photo of him being a hairstylist for Kendra, who seemed to be there for a gig at the Golden Gate City. "Photographer, videographer, stylist, dry cleaner and [sic] now hair straightening. For all I know, i [sic] curled it even more. Hahaha! No, I can't do makeup, sorry Kenny. But you know, i [sic] love to serve you baby girl. Always!" Doug wrote in his post.
Netizens react to Doug Kramer pointing out Kendra's crop top
Unfortunately, Doug's seemingly harmless IG story was met with some criticism. On social media, some netizens were quite confused about his caption. A netizen questioned if it's really a "genuine concern" from a father, noting that he should have told her privately about her crop top.
"I'm not trying to hate here, but what was the point of Doug posting this?" the netizen wrote. Another netizen chimed in, saying that Doug's post was alarming for them. They also accused the athlete-influencer of using their kids for clout.
Some comments also read, "His kids are his source of income."
Other netizens expressed their disappointment with Doug by pointing out how "contradictory" his post was against the supposed "conservative" tone he posed. "Ayaw makita and anak an naka-crop top pero pinost," the netizen's comment read.
Doug Kramer and Cheska Garcia's family
Doug and his wife Cheska Garcia are doting parents to their three kids, Kendra, Scarlett, and Gavin. According to their official YouTube channel, they began their journey as a family YouTuber in 2014.
They have shown different sides of their parenting styles and the journey of their young kids—basically, everything that revolves around their family life. On their official website, they said, "As much as you have inspired our family to share a chunk of our daily lives, we are inspired ourselves to share our dreams, way of life, and our Christian values."
They call themselves a "simple family that appreciates old family values, old-fashioned tradition, hand-me-down knowledge from our parents and generations before us."
In a 2017 exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Cheska noted that the success of their family was unexpected. They didn't plan on being social media influencers.
She recalled, "Actually everything with Team Kramer was just an accident. We never planned anything. Most people think that we planned Team Kramer. We were merely posting photos and videos, and it came as a surprise to us that people started following and that there was a growing number of followers."
