Get ready to search the country because of a worldwide treasure hunt. In celebration of Little Women's upcoming film release, Emma Watson—with the help of 150 book fairies—hid 2,000 copies of Louisa May Alcott's novel around the world. The best part? The actress has signed and left a special handwritten note inside each book herself!
According to Emma, 38 countries are involved in the project, including the Philippines! No hints have been given as to where you can start looking, but the assigned fairies will be sharing snaps of them hiding the books on social media with the hashtag #LWBookFairies. Take note though that as per Book Fairy tradition, books are usually hidden in plain sight, so try not to look too hard or you might just miss what's right in front of you.
A total of 122 different editions of Little Women are currently being distributed and hidden all over the globe for the campaign.
The Book Fairies is a worldwide book-sharing project launched in March 2017. It has since then grown into 100 countries with over 12,000 active members. You can follows its Philippine chapter's Instagram here.
Little Women is set for Philippine release on February 19, 2020.
