Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil started as a love team and eventually got into a relationship. Liza's former talent manager, Ogie Diaz, claims that Liza and Enrique Gil have broken up after eight years of being together.
Liza has been pursuing a career in the U.S., and is under a new talent management firm, Careless. The long-distance setup, plus the absence of couple posts led to netizens thinking that maybe they have split.
In a report, Enrique clarified the speculations that he and Liza have broken up. "We are good, we are good," he confirmed. The couple is busy focusing on their respective careers. "I am busy with all my projects. She is busy with all her projects naman. She is focusing on international work, which is super good for her. Kahit super busy kami, we still support each other no matter what," he added.
Enrique will be the lead in the comedy film, I Am Not Big Bird, which will be shot in Thailand. Liza will have her Hollywood debut in the upcoming horror-comedy movie Lisa Frankenstein.
Amid breakup rumors, Enrique and Liza were spotted at a party together. A LizQuen fan page posted photos of the couple at a friend’s party.
In March 2023, Liza shared the reason she stopped posting photos of Enrique on her Instagram. "It's a conscious decision not to post photos with him and of him anymore to disassociate herself from the love team narrative," she explained. Liza wanted to be taken seriously as a solo artist, and her action does not say anything about LizQuen's relationship status.
