There are so many Gen Z celebrities that have been captivating everyone's attention with their charm and talent. And Erik Santos' sister is ready to take on the challenge of being one of the brightest Gen Z stars in the industry.
Erik's 19-year-old sister, Hadiyah Santos, did not hesitate to throw her shot at stardom. She joined Zoomers, a talent search by the media giant ABS-CBN and its talent agency Star Magic. The show aims to efficiently cast five lead stars for the upcoming teen series, Zoomer's. (See the difference in the spelling?)
Hadiyah's audition clip began with a brief interview about her life outside of showbiz. Although she lacks experience when it comes to acting in major projects, Hadiyah highlighted her passion for acting.
"Wala pa po akong acting background bukod po sa mga acting workshop po na nasalihan ko. Gusto ko po dito kasi passion ko po talaga 'yung pag-arte. Kapag ginagawa ko po siya sa workshops, na-eenjoy ko po siya," she told the panel of judges which included TV Production Head, Director Laurenti Dyogi, and fellow film directors Theodore Boborol, and Chad Vidanes.
When asked about her thoughts on being a sister to one of the most famous ballad singers in the country, Hadiyah couldn't help but turn emotional. At the time, Erik and Hadiyah's father had been sick and fighting for his life, just a couple of months after their mother died.
Hadiyah expressed her closeness towards her brother. "Siya na lang po 'yung meron ako na close ko po super sa family," the 19-year-old mentioned.
Before Hadiyah auditioned, Erik actually visited and gave her messages of support. "Si Kuya po lagi po niya akong sinusuportahan kung ano po yung gusto ko. basta po nag-eenjoy po ako," she shared to the panel of judges.

Among the lead characters given, Hadiyah chose to audition for the role of Tania in Zoomer's. The production team of the show described Tania's character as the influencer type, the digital baby, and someone who discovers herself to be bisexual.
Her audition scene revolved around a heartwarming scene together with fellow Gen Z actress, Gillian Vicencio. Direk Lauren then referred to her acting as something that's "refreshing to see."
After several auditions, Hadiyah's father eventually passed away. She revealed that despite the grief they are feeling, they are at peace knowing that their parents are now free from any pain and danger.
Now, Hadiyah is dead set on making a name in the vast sea of actresses in the showbiz scene. More importantly, her goals and dreams in life are all dedicated to her supportive family. "'Yung ginagawa ko po sa kuya ko, dine-dedicate ko po sa kuya ko and sa family ko," she declared.
We're rooting for you, Hadiyah!
