In the middle of breakup rumors between Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez, Esther Lahbati just revealed details about the couple's current relationship status.
Esther, Sarah's mom, publicly confirmed that Sarah and Richard are now co-parenting for their two sons, Zion and Kai. This revelation comes after Sarah uploaded a Christmas family photo without Richard.
Exchanging comments with netizens, Esther had the chance to clarify some assumptions from the netizens regarding Zion and Kai's situation. One netizen asked if the videos Sarah posted were pre-recorded, given that Annabelle Rama earlier announced that the whole Gutierrez family would be in Japan for the holidays.
"na kay Sarah sina zion at Kai.Live na Live with the family of Sarah.Co parenting sila ng tatay. [sic]" Esther directly responded.
Another netizen commented that they thought Zion and Kai were brought to Japan by their grandmother. Esther clarified this and said, "wala po ganon.tatay at nanay ang magde decide.kung saan pupunta ang mga bata. [sic]"
Esther also expressed her gratitude to all who are continuously supporting Sarah despite the controversy. "Salamat po sa lahat ng bumati sa amin at sa lahat ng mga supporters at nagmamahal kay Sarah," she remarked.
Although Sarah and Richard have remained mum about the current status of their relationship, their mothers have taken a stand for the two. Earlier this month, Annabelle threw some fiery comments that appeared to be directed at Sarah.
When asked if the rumors about the possible separation between the once-lovestruck couple were true, Annabelle couldn't help but reveal her true emotions on the matter. "Nakikita mo naman, hindi mo na kailangang magsalita pa. Nakikita mo na yan. Si Richard trabaho nang trabaho, 'yung isa nagwawaldas ng pera. 'Yun lang ang masasabi ko diyan," she declared.
While Sarah's mom had a meaningful comment for her daughter amid the issues thrown at Sarah. Weeks before the holiday season, Esther declared her unwavering love for Sarah in another Instagram comment. "We Love you so much Anak. No one can hurt you! I am ready to stand for you. Being a human being I respect everyone's rights," she wrote.
Sarah and Richard started dating in 2012. By 2013, their relationship was marred with pregnancy rumors that they did not admit at first. It was only in June 2014 that they confirmed that they became parents to a beautiful baby boy, Zion. The couple continued to express their love for each other throughout the years through PDA-filled IG posts. In 2018, they were blessed with their second son, Kai.
Sarah and Richard had an intimate civil wedding in 2020 despite the COVID-19 restrictions back then. The couple just decided to have a grand church wedding when the pandemic ended. Earlier reports say that it was initially slated for 2024.
