Let's be real: 2016 was a complete shit show.
Facebook knows how badly we need to bring the ~*sparkle*~ back into our lives, which is why their newest update is something we're really excited about.
According to Tech Crunch, Facebook will be introducing a colored background option for your text-only statuses soon: "Several of the color options offer an Instagram logo-style color gradient, which make them more stylish and modern than boring flat colors." And by soon, we mean this week.
Unfortunately, this option will only be available to Android users (for now), but everyone will be able to see them on their News Feed. That’s low-key harsh, FB.
We’re hoping iPhone users won't have to suffer too long.
