It's offish: There's going to be a Pinoy remake of A World Of Married Couple! Well...to be super specific, the remake will be based on the British show Doctor Foster, which ALSO served as the basis for the hit 2020 K-drama (which had Pinoys hooked because it was super-stressful).
Here's everything you need to know about the adaptation, officially called The Broken Marriage Vow:
What is Doctor Foster originally about?
According to a report by ABS-CBN News: "BBC Studios and ABS-CBN announced that they have forged an agreement for the Philippine adaptation of the BAFTA award-winning psychological drama follows the story of a trusted doctor whose life implodes when she suspects her husband of having an affair." The PH version will be the sixth international remake of the popular show, and they started production this year!
Who's starring in the Doctor Foster remake?
In May 2021, the official cast was announced! After A LOT of speculation, ABS-CBN unveiled the main cast of the PH remake: Jodi Sta. Maria will play Dra. Jill Ilustre, and her husband David Ilustre will be played by Zanjoe Marudo. Their son, Gio Ilustre, will be played by Zaijan Jaranilla. And finally, the role of the mistress, Lexy Lucero, will be played by none other than Sue Ramirez!
