Pinoy Big Brother housemate Franki Russell announced that she has joined the first-ever Miss Universe United Arab Emirates (UAE) pageant!
On Instagram, Franki posted, "Femininity doesn't make you weak, it's your super power."
"I am so inspired by everything this pageant stands for. Diversity, celebrating women from all walks of life, empowerment, and breaking stereotypes," she continued.
Franki added, "Stepping out of my comfort zone never felt so good."
Franki was part of Pinoy Big Brother: Otso and had a supporting role in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano where she played P/MSgt. Hannah Robles.
Franki, who made it to the Top 300 contestants of Miss Universe UAE, wrote in a separate post on Twitter on October 14, "It may not be the flag that you prefer, but I am so excited because this particular pageant represents a lot more than that."
The Miss Universe UAE pageant is scheduled for November 7 and the winner will represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant in Israel this December. The pageant organization is headed by Josh Yugen, the Filipino founder and CEO of Yugen Events; and joining him in the council are Maggie Wilson as a Creative Consultant; and designer Furne Amato as Head of Creatives, Fashion, and Design.
