Gela Atayde directly debunked her elder sister Ria Atayde's rumored pregnancy.
Although the younger Atayde confirmed that Ria and her now-fiancé Zanjoe Marudo are already trying to build a family, Gela notes that Ria is not yet pregnant. She says that it would be a miracle if Ria conceives a child, knowing how hard it is because of her polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS.
"For me, I can’t say much yet. For now, no. They’re trying that’s for sure. My sister has PCOS and it would be a miracle if she has a child. Well, at least my parents also are supportive for that. My sister nga kasi is at the age—turning 32 this year medyo kailangan na din," Gela told ABS-CBN News.
Speculations about Ria's pregnancy surfaced when she happily announced her engagement to Zanjoe in February 2024. The couple started dating sometime in 2022 and made their relationship official to the public last January 2023.

Gela revealed that Zanjoe made a very intimate proposal with Ria. Gela said that it only happened between Zanjoe and Ria, with no one else with them at the time.
"I love Kuya Z, I was so happy that when they told me, I cried. I love how Kuya Z proposed to her, he just did it in bed just both of them just woke up so we weren’t there," Gela shared.
Weeks ago, their mother Sylvia Sanchez posted some never-before-seen pics of her video call moment with Zanjoe and Ria. "My heart is overflowing with joy. Perfectly matched," Sylvia wrote about her post.
They all looked genuinely happy in the photos. In one pic, Ria can be seen flaunting her engagement ring while Zanjoe was all smiles beside her.
Ria and Zanjoe have yet to announce the date or the year of their wedding.
