The chemistry between these reel-time and once-real-life partners is still palpable in their latest flick. Of course, such attention makes us wonder what Joshua and Julia's respective S.O'.s, Emilienne Vigier and Gerald Anderson think of the invigorated JoshLia fever.
Gerald Gives Julia Her Spotlight, While Emilienne Offers Praise To Joshua
Released in cinemas last August. 14, 2024, Un/Happy For You became an instant box-office hit, earning P20.5 million on opening day. Various reviews have favored the tandem's newest movie, proving that JoshLia is a duo we can't do without.
In an interview with ABS-CBN the night before the premiere of Un/Happy For You, Gerald expressed how he's supportive of the whole endeavor. "I’m here as a silent supporter. Alam ko pinaghirapan niya ‘yan. That’s why it’s been like this, naging okay kami for so many years is because sinusuportahan namin ang isa’t isa," said Gerald.
He does acknowledge how it is awkward for Julia to work with her ex, but he understands it as part of the industry. Gerald said, "Well, sa totoo lang, awkward talaga ng trabaho namin. Ganoon talaga. I've been in that...nandoon ako sa sitwasyon before. That's why I try to be as supportive as possible."
"I don't wanna steal the spotlight, pinaghirapan nila yan eh. And I know how hard it is to work on a movie na gusto mo mapanood ng maraming tao...so I just give it to her. It's her time," said Gerald.

On the other hand, Emilienne posted her film review to Instagram Stories on August 18, 2024. She had glowing praises to her boyfriend Joshua and to Julia as well. She also gave kudos to director Petersen Vargas and Moira Dela Torre whose vocals gave the film that extra *iyak factor.*
"I didn't really get to watch a lot of Filipino films growing up, so to be honest, I've never really seen any of your films together @garciajoshuae @juliabarretto or any directed by @awarewolves until now...and I can't wait to watch more because of this movie," writes Emilienne.
