The internet has been on fire since Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla announced that they had broken up after 11 years of being together.
On November 30, Thursday, the former couple took to IG to make the sad announcement.
"Chapter closed," Kathryn wrote in the caption.
"It's true that Deej and I have decided to part ways," she added in her post. "I will always love him."

Daniel, meanwhile, wrote, "Our lives may drift away, but our love will still ride that tide."
Amid the couple's breakup, netizens have been speculating about its possible cause.

One of the rumors circulating has been labeling actress Gillian Vicencio as the third party in KathNiel's breakup. Gillian appeared alongside Kathryn and Daniel in their last series, 2 Good 2 Be True, and with Kathryn in the movie A Very Good Girl.
Having had enough of the accusations, Gillian recently took to X to air her statement.
On December 1, she tweeted, "'Wag niyo po ako idamay dito," she wrote. "Hindi po totoo. Bigyan naman po nation sila ng respeto."

In fact, the rumors hounded Gillian way before KathNiel had confirmed their breakup. Back in September, Gillian had already shared her side when she guested on the showbiz talk show Marites University.
"Ano ba talaga yung totoong eksena or something para malinawan yung mga nanonood at yung mga fans para matigil na din yung issue nila about you na meron kayong something ni DJ?" asked DJ JhaiHo, "To the point na magkasama pa kayo ni Kath sa A Very Good Girl."
"Actually, guys, wala po talaga," Gillian replied. "Magto-tropa po talaga kaming apat. Kasi kami po talaga yung naging solid so ayun, kami yung nagba-bonding-bonding. So hindi ko talaga alam saan nanggagaling yung mga sinasabi."
Gillian also confirmed that she and Kathryn had gotten close while working together.
"...kasi sobrang welcoming po ni Ate Kath, sobrang approachable niya. Talagang ma-alaga po siya sa mga ka-work niya."
