Korea's beloved variety show Running Man, which started airing in 2010, is going to have a Pinoy adaptation! GMA News reports that South Korean TV network SBS has signed a contract with GMA Network for the co-production of the show.
"With the success of Running Man in Vietnam and China, we expect a lot from the Philippines," SBS Korea's Chief Global Contents Officer Kim Yong Jae said in an interview.
Running Man is a Korean variety show where the cast members—and their celebrity guests—compete to win missions and finish races. The Korean cast of Running Man is scheduled to visit the Philippines in July as part of their A Decade Of Laughter Tour. The event, which was originally scheduled for February 9, was postponed due to the recent novel coronavirus threat.
Running Man's spinoff in China, now called Keep Running, first aired in 2014, while Vietnam's Chay Di Cho Chi was launched in 2019.
Now the pressing question on everyone's minds is: Who will be the PH Runners?
