Hailey Bieber is setting the record straight on her 'ship with her husband Justin Bieber. In a preview for this week's inaugural episode of Call Her Daddy's new season, the model is seen attempting to put the rumors to rest once and for all while touching on subjects she usually doesn't discuss publicly.
"How has being married to someone with that level of fame impacted your identity?" the show's host, Alex Cooper, asks Hailey, to which she sighs and responds, "Where do I start?" *cue dramatic music*
"Your husband was in a very public relationship," Alex adds. "People were obsessed with [him and Selena Gomez] being together. Were you ever with Justin romantically at the same time as her?"
"Um, this is so crazy. I've literally never talked about this, ever. A lot of the hate and the perpetuation comes from like, 'Oh, you stole him!' It's about people knowing the truth—because there's a truth," Hailey maintains without directly answering just yet.
A refresher (in the event that you were living under a literal rock throughout the entire Jelena era): Prior to marrying Hailey, Justin was in an on-again, off-again 'ship with Selena for about eight years. The two rekindled their romance in late 2017 (TBT to those *iconic* bike ride pics) before officially calling it quits in early 2018. By May of that year, it was said via a source that Selena had "completely moved on" from Justin and was "feeling very strong." As for Justin? Well, he and Hailey were practically inseparable that summer and rounded their romance out with a July engagement, which practically broke the internet.
Everyone caught up to speed now? Okay, perf. Though Hailey is v open about her relationship with Justin, from his health scares to their beyond-sweet moments, she's hasn't quiiiiiite touched on the Selena love triangle rumors, save for a few times. Case in point? Her 2020 interview on Ashley Graham's Pretty Big Deal podcast wherein she confessed, "People don't know, too, we had been talking for a while before we got back together...Contrary to popular belief, he had been single for a while and I had been single and we were kind of just trying to figure life out."
