It is easy to forget that Heart Evangelista faces battles unseen by paparazzi flashes and the millions of people following her beautiful feed. In a recent interview, she talks about how she lost her baby, named Sophia Heart, just before her vow renewal last February.

Heart Tears Up As She Reveals Losing Her Child
A month after Heart and her husband Chiz Escudero renewed their vows in a glamourous ceremony in Balesin, the couple was featured in the latest episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Heart and Chiz got candid about different topics from finances to fashion week. Boy, never one to shy away from difficult topics, quickly asked about Heart's and Chiz’s plans to have a baby. He called back to Heart's statement during a different interview wherein she said, "And I feel like if there's any moment that I should be blessed with a baby, it should be now because I feel like I'm ready as a person and I would be able to give more because I'll be able to tell her more and share more wisdom."
A teary-eyed Heart talked about the hope lost between now and that statement: “I said that in our interview because I was technically...we were expecting. I wasn’t pregnant. But, I was expecting my only girl that I had left...eggs...so at that time I thought I was going to make it but she didn’t."
She then slowly reveals how she was expecting her child until recently, “I was really preparing for her. So I really thought I was going to have a baby at that time. I thought with everything we went through it was finally going to happen but it didn’t.”
Despite this, Heart doesn't entertain any bitterness or anger. "But it’s okay, I’m not the type to question anything. I’m just sad because I thought I was going to be able to share what I do with my last girl. So it’s a little hard but I’m not questioning anything."
Chiz Escudero Believes That Bigger Plans Are Yet To Come
When asked by Boy for his insight and what he tells Heart during this difficult time, Chiz said, "I’m predisposed to always accept God’s will so yung ang sabi ko sa kanya. If it’s not now, if it’s not this, may mas maganda pang naka-plano."
Heart further details the difficulties of alternative conception methods and surrogacy. "Actually, I cry not because I was not given what I wanted and I’m a spoiled child. I cry because it took so hard for me to produce the egg. And so it was hard for me to accept the fact. You know I gave her a name. I actually named her."
She also revealed the child's name, "I named her Sophia Heart. I was very excited to have her but I’m blessed in so many other ways, how can I complain?"
Heart Evangelista Is Not "The Type To Complain"
Heart closes the topic by acknowledging her life's blessings, and remaining hopeful. "I’m not the type to complain. This was the time we had our interview and then we found out right before our wedding, so I was actually very sad. So ganoon talaga, you can’t have it all.
"Malay mo, I was meant to take care of a lot of people."
