Heart Evangelista shared a candid moment in her latest vlog—and we're sure a lot of people can relate to it!
As a fashion icon, Heart knows the value of her belongings, especially the luxury items. So when one of her hats was blown away by the wind, she made sure to stop their vehicle and go looking for it!
In another episode of her "I Am Heart" series, the actress was spending some quality time with her family and friends while finishing some work on the side. She, together with her team and her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero, rode an e-bike as they were scheduled to have lunch on Phuket Island in Balesin.
Chiz was driving and at first, Heart was just having fun, singing along to a song—until the wind blew her hat away. She panicked and told her husband that she couldn't just let it go. "It's Dior babe. My hat is Dior!" she exclaimed while asking Chiz to stop driving.
"My hat is Dior. I cannot... Cannot be, borrow one, take one," Heart murmured as she alighted their vehicle and went running to where the wind took her hat. It was probably a few blocks away from where they were.
As she was walking back to their vehicle, she declared, "Hindi na 'to lilipad. Hindi ko matatanggap."
Back on their e-bike, Heart briefly explained her attachment to the Dior hat. "Favorite ko pa naman 'to tapos first time ko pa naman siya ginamit." We're glad she got the hat back!
Who is Heart Evangelista's new stylist?
During Heart's vlog, her stylist Iza Sim introduced herself. "I've been with Heart not so long ago, about September last year," she revealed.
Iza shared that she had known Heart for about nine years, however she pursued a different career path back then. That's why it was a dream and an unexpected milestone for her to have become Heart's stylist.
"I was in the corporate world for about seven years, after I did the styling associate gig. Last year, I randomly got a call from her (Heart), regarding that she would be needing a stylist. Who am I to reject the opportunity given to me? Because at that time I was also in a crazy, stressful work," she recalled.
Iza also shared what it was like working with Heart, and as she noted, it is always a learning experience. "My role as a stylist for Heart, I also am learning everyday from her because knowing Heart she really knows what she wants to wear. Even at home, she really dresses up really well," she said.
The stylist also got candid about people thinking that this job is really ~*glamorous*~. According to her, it really isn't. Iza pointed out how making it into the fashion world requires hard work and courage.
"There's also a hard part through it. But wala namang madaling trabaho. So it's really just lakas ng loob, also, you just really have to love what you're doing. You have to enjoy it and just really have fun," she advised.
Iza expressed her gratitude to Heart for giving her the chance to become a stylist once again. "I really feel blessed to be here right now, because she gave me the opportunity that I never saw myself doing in the past years," Iza stated.
