Heart Evangelista is seemingly opening up more about her much-talked-about falling-out with her former glam team. ICYDK, she parted ways with makeup artist Justine Louise Soriano and hairstylist Jeck Aguilar months ago, and fans who have kept up to date with their journey together were greatly saddened by the news.
In her latest vlog though, Heart subtly pulled back the curtains about the issue with an emotional chat with her friend Arnold Mendoza. At one point, she started by saying how grateful she is to have her husband Chiz Escudero by her side during the difficult time. “I feel like he’s gonna be there. Tas pag something goes south; I know that he will be the one to decipher and tell you san ka nagkamali.”
She added, sounding like there's ~*hugot*~, “You cannot trust anybody. Only yourself and just a chosen few. Especially when they want more.”
Arnold agreed to Heart’s sentiments: “You can’t be everybody’s cup of tea. Kahit na anong gawin mo, magtatumbling ka, meron pa ding ayaw sayo.”
The New York-based handler, who Heart says has been with her when she was starting in the industry, took the time to air his sentiments about the fashion maven’s fallout with her former glam team.
Without naming names, he said, “Kung kanino ka nagsimula, kung pano ka nagkaron ng pangaalan, bigyan mo naman ng ano, diba?”
Heart replied, “Kunwari they want to do other clients, wala namang problema. Tell me naman. Because ako bawal, kayo pwede? Bawal ako mag-react?”
“Bastos talaga,” Arnold voiced out.
Heart also revealed that she had once donated her kidney for a friend in need. “Dear, eto na nga yung pinaka-grabe sa lahat. Sinabi niya sakin na kailangan daw ng tatay niya ng kidney, dinonate ko yung isa kong kidney. Sinabi sakin na tutubo daw yung isa, syempre di ko sinabi kay Chiz.”
Arnold went on, “Naging influencers kayo dahil kay Heart, mga bakla kayo, mag-reresign kayo.. Sulat? Kapal naman ng mukha nyo. Pwede nyo naman kausapin yung tao. May magagawa pa ba siya kung gusto niyo na siyang iwan? Pero sana namili kayo ng maayos na paraan.
“Dinala kayo sa bansang di nyo kayang puntahan, libre. Tas gusto nyo maglamyerda. Ay, day. Trabaho muna.
“Kaya kayo nakilala dahil kay Heart. Di kayo makikilala kung hindi si Heart yung inayusan nyo, pinaganda niyo. At sa totoo lang, di niyo naman kailangan pagandahin si bakla. Kahit lagyan mo nga yan ng putik sa mukha, maganda pa din yan.”
He added, “Sa totoo lang, dapat naging grateful na lang kayo, ano bang mawawala sa inyo? Minsan sa isang panahon, natulungan naman kayo ni Heart. Sa totoo lang, di naman palaging perfect relasyon, palaging may tampuhan. Dun mo malalaman na mahal mo pala isang tao. Ayaw mong matapon yung friendship.”
On Heart’s part, she only had the kindest words to say about her friendship with Arnold. “Kami ni Arnold, nung mga times na naguusap kami, he had me at my worst. So now, meron o wala, lagi siyang andyan. And now that I’m in New York, andiyan siya. And that’s really the test of friendship. Kasi you really go through ups and downs. And the people that really stand by your side even at your worst, even pati ikaw, when you look back, grabe ang sama ng ugali ko noon, bakit ako naging ganito? Sila pa mage-explain sayo, ‘Dear, kaya ka naging ganto kasi ganto yung sitwasyon mo.’ They understand. So ngayon during the good times, he’s also there. And, iba siya. They don’t make it like that anymore.
