Lately, the Internet has been talking about healing one's inner child. Most people would say that it's buying that Labubu or POPMART piece you wanted, or perhaps going to the happiest place on earth, a.k.a. Disneyland, or just simply going to the mall and purchasing whatever you wanted. For Heaven Peralejo, healing her inner child means learning ballet all over again.
In an Instagram post, Heaven happily shared that she's "back at the barre" as she starts her ballet journey once again. Some may say that learning ballet should be done early in your childhood, but as Heaven proves, it's never too late to do it.
"First day back at the barre at DBC ISAS Conservatory (look for them on FB!), with the amazing Tita Des guiding every step! Ballet is challenging, but I'm loving each moment—proof it's never too late to follow a dream and heal my inner child, one plié at a time," the Cosmopolitan Philippines November 2023 cover star wrote in her IG caption. She even tagged her mom, Luanne Peralejo, in her post.
She shared photos and videos of her trying out some basic ballet forms together with her ballet tutor, Tita Des, at the Cecchetti Ballet Center Philippines. Although she admits that ballet is challenging, she's trying her best to fulfill her dream. Her happy news also came a few weeks before she turned 25 years old.
Her friends, family, and her fans appeared supportive of her new journey. Her fellow University Series star, Hyacinth Callado commented, "Aww beautiful I love this." Another friend of hers, Kimpoy Feliciano told Heaven, "Do it all! Proud of you!"
Apparently, Heaven is a woman of many, many...hobbies. Just recently, she learned how to drive a manual motorcycle. She also shared it on Instagram, "New skill unlocked: riding a manual motorcycle! There's something so freeing about being on the road, and I'm excited to finally feel it firsthand." Aside from that, Heaven has also learned mixed martial arts and tennis!
Heaven Peralejo's career
We think Heaven knows how to value that work-life balance. The proof is in her Instagram feed which definitely goes in sync with how her career is progressing at the moment. Amid all the hobbies she's trying to learn, Heaven is an actress of her own league.
She has been filming several series and films here and there—and more importantly, bagging acting nominations and awards as well. In 2023, she won the Best Actress award at the 39th Luna Awards, and also got nominated for the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards and FAMAS Awards.
This 2024 only, she starred in several projects namely, Linlang, Fruitcake, Chasing In the Wild, and more. She also top-billed her latest film with love team partner Marco Gallo called, Men Are From QC, Women Are From Alabang. She will soon be gracing the big screen once again with the film, Lilim, directed by Mikhail Red.
