We Filipinos are known for being resilient. But perhaps our best trait in times of crisis is our bayanihan spirit. Whatever happens, we always have each other's backs, and we would gladly go out of our way to support and assist those in need. Despite our concerted efforts in containing the coronavirus or COVID-19, many groups lack the resources to continue their service to our country, such as our brave frontliners. A lot of underprivileged families are also in dire need of sustenance.
If you've been looking for ways to help our fellow Filipinos in this fight against the widespread virus, here's a rolling list of groups you can contact. As Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine and we are advised to stay at home, these are calls for cash donations, which you can do through online banking.
We'll be updating this with new calls for help, so feel free to bookmark this to stay tuned.
