Happy March 8th! Today is International Women's Day, a global celebration to recognize both the outstanding and unsung achievements of our fellow women. We've all had a challenging past few years, so in order to ~manifest~ a better 2022 we asked celebrities: What message would you like to share with the next generation of Pinays?
Maggie Wilson
"Although more and more women are given better opportunities, in the Philippines the industry is still mostly dominated by men. As women we should uplift each other, stick up for ourselves and fight for what’s right for the sake of all women. I find that people still get scared of women who have too much inner strength and power. Of women who are too forthcoming. Don’t ever let someone take away your power because your presence, your skills, [and] your talent make them feel uncomfortable being around you."

Marian Rivera
"To the next generation of Pinays, don’t be afraid to follow your dreams and don’t be discouraged when problems arise, that’s part of the journey. Always remember that you are enough and surround yourself with people who will lift you up and at the same time, lend a hand when you can. Stay grateful and always find joy in the simple things in life."

Ayn Bernos
"Set your own standards and pursue your dreams courageously. You don’t have to have all the answers, but you do need the tenacity to learn. So learn."

Kryz Uy
"Don’t be afraid to stray from the norm. Live as fully and as wonderfully as you can."

Camille Co
"Never apologize for taking up space, because women can and women will."

Vern Enciso
"[To] never be afraid to say no. There are a lot of traditions and "beliefs" embedded in our culture and most of the time, it’s women who are at the losing end. This is the time to say no to whatever hinders you just because you’re scared of what people may think or whatever has been done in the past years. May it be delaying marriage, kids, or even going beyond what people expect of you. This is your time to do whatever your heart pleases, at your own pace, at your time."

Happy International Women's Day, Cosmo girls! Today, and every other day, we celebrate YOU.
