Issa Pressman Talks About Her Depression And Her Healing Journey

Issa Reveals How Dance Helps Connect With Herself

In her recent post on Instagram, Issa gives us an intimate POV of her life. In her Reels, she’s dancing to Snoh Algera’s "Fool For You." Without the usual glam associated with the fashion influencer, you can tell Issa takes on a brave persona.

In the caption she writes, “From almost a year of battling depression, I’ve been going through a couple of beautiful months of continuous healing.”

She then reveals that her dancing is a sign of her progress, “Tonight, was a new found form of therapy… last year, I couldn’t dance or sing. I had no energy, no confidence, no self belief for reasons and traumas I have yet to share, when I am ready. (with means to educate and inspire)”

Issa explains that the dance is also a way to find herself. “What matters now is that my energy is recharged and inspired, my confidence is coming back and I’m believing again that the world is full of love.? Tonight, I wanted to connect with myself again. Tonight, I wanted to connect with myself again. That self who knew art with all my heart, with no voices or judgments or whether I did good or bad… I just felt free and had fun. It’s a good way to find yourself.”

Shen then reminded them to prioritize themselves as well. “Do things that make you feel YOU again. If you improve your relationship with yourself, you improve your relationship with the world.”
