Jake Cuenca just spilled another ~juicy~ detail about his relationship with Chie Filomeno.
The Kapamilya actor shared in an interview that Chie was "the one that got away" or in other words, his TOTGA. Not mentioning any specific detail about it, Jake revealed that the two of them dated sometime in the past. But it did not work out before.
"In so many ways, she's kinda like the one that got away for me. Kasi, we dated na before... a long time ago. [...] She was in Showtime na, dancing already in Showtime. Parang nahintulot the first time e," Jake said.
Jake was obviously not a fan of passing on a second chance because the moment he felt like he was ready to ask her out again, Jake did not even think twice.
"So parang for me, given the second time around parang yeah I don't wanna do that two times in a row. I don't wanna let her go," he remarked.
It was all about guts and his true feelings for Chie that made him take a big leap to start something new with her during last year's Star Magic's Christmas Ball. "I went up to her. Naglakas-loob ako. It was the Christmas Ball," Jake stated.
When asked if it has been always his plan to ask Chie out the second time around, Jake quickly answered, "No. It was not the plan."
According to Jake, he made an unexpected yet sincere choice that day, calling it something that could be seen in a movie. "Like it was biglaan nga talaga. It felt like something from a movie kasi had so many things to do that day," the actor revealed.
"I was just gonna go to the ball to give my respect to Direk Lauren, say hi to the bosses, and then get out of there. That's my thing naman eh. But I saw her so I stayed," Jake added.
ICYMI, in a press interview, Chie confirmed that she is dating Jake. She also disclosed that they are both ~taking their time~ getting to know each other.
"Alam niya ang priority ko and hindi niya ako minamadali. 'Yun 'yon. Very gentleman siya, and he respects my decisions. And he is willing to wait," she shared.
