Chie Filomeno and Jake Cuenca don't usually post about each other, whether it's pics together, or just any celebration—the two are doing it low-key for the most part. But when they do post about each other, oh, they are so into it. ;) Case in point: their latest posts during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2024 filming at the Araneta Coliseum on December 10, 2024.
ICYDK, the media giant annually holds a Christmas Special event where fans and their fave artists can be together in one event. During the Christmas Special, Kapamilya stars from across generations gather to give unforgettable performances for their fans. One of the most-awaited parts of their annual gathering is the part where love teams would go onstage and showcase their chemistry together!
For Chie and Jake, even though they're technically not a love team, they were given a chance to perform together onstage as an IRL couple. Chie posted photos of them with the caption, "in her loveteam era." The pics just show how close and intimate they are with each other.
On her post, Jake left hearts and a comment referring to himself as "The luckiest guy at the Araneta Coliseum." Okaaaaay we see you, romantic Jake.
Jake also posted more snaps of him and Chie being lovey-dovey backstage. He wrote in the caption, "One for the books." To which Chie replied with, "Hi crush." Okay, Miss Sweet Girl Chie? :)
The photos Jake shared were showing how sweet they are intimately looking at each other, holding hands while waiting for their time to perform—in other words, they were being the couple of the hour, you guys.

The two started to publicize their relationship back in 2023. Although they didn't make an official and huge confirmation about their relationship, they had expressed their preference to keep things as private as they can be—especially Chie.
Admittedly, the Kapamilya actress shuns the idea of exposing more details about her current relationship with Jake. But it's not because things have been tough between them. In fact, Chie strongly pointed out that they are really happy together. It's just that it's also the first time that Chie is officially dating an actor.
"We're happy. We're really happy. And keeping things low-key," she said in an interview, reported by PEP.ph.
She furthered that she wanted to establish her name without the need to connect her to Jake as his girlfriend. According to her, Jake respects her decisions. "Siyempre I just don't want to be Jake Cuenca's someone or significant other. Siyempre we know naman na he's already Jake Cuenca, but to think na parang nirerespeto niya 'yung gusto kong mangyari, 'yung time...So, he's very respectful sa aspect na 'yan and I'm really happy."
