Let's admit it: the Internet tends to read too much into things. But Jake Ejercito surely knew how to put people—a.k.a. chismosas—in their place after some assumptions were made between him, his ex Andi Eigenmann, and Andi's current partner, Philmar Alipayo.
If you were having a peaceful weekend and missed the commotion, we'll keep you up to speed real quick. The Internet went abuzz when Andi revealed that Philmar got a couple tattoo with a "friend." Fast forward to the end of many Instagram Stories, and Andi clarified that she wasn't attacking Philmar, but rather, she was calling out the alleged woman who asked to have a matching tattoo with him.
So, what's Jake got to do with all of this? Well, while everyone was diving deep into Andi and Philmar's relationship, Jake posted a statement on Facebook. It read, "Wala akong feelings about it." One look and you might also (contextually) think that was indeed about Andi and Philmar. But Jake goes out of his way to clear the air and explain his statement to the public.

In the comments section, Jake shut down rumors that he was allegedly reacting to Andi and Philmar's very public fallout. "Stop putting a spin into the post," he straight up said. In his brief explanation, Jake detailed that his post was about some news about Vice President Sara Duterte.
He added in another comment, "God save the tsismosas." (Amen...)

Jake and Andi's connection goes way back. They were childhood sweethearts and are now parents to their eldest daughter, Ellie. Through the years, Jake had been low-key about being a father to Ellie. It was just recently that he became open about their funny convos and the moments that he spent with his daughter. At present, Ellie is staying with him in Manila as the 13-year-old girl attends school.
Growing up Ellie spent most of her time with Andi and Philmar who are both based in Siargao. Nonetheless, Jake and Andi prioritized Ellie and came up with a good co-parenting setup.
In a March 2024 interview, Jake admitted that he is thankful to Philmar for taking care of Ellie. "Si Philmar, I've met him several times 'pag pumupunta ako sa Siargao. I mean, he's been kind, courteous, nakapunta na 'ko ng bahay nila. Pero not to the fact naman na bonding kami, hindi naman gano'n."
He continued, "Thankful lang din ako sa kanya kasi syempre si Ellie nakatira sa bahay nila ‘di ba? And as a stepfather, I'm sure inaalagan niya rin si Ellie. Wala naman reklamo si Ellie sa'kin about him. So very grateful ako na gano'n. Ni hindi ko siya iniisip or pinoproblema."
