ICYMI, Jakob Poturnak recently turned 18 on April 20, 2022, and his mom Ina Raymundo took a trip down memory lane to ~celebrate~ her son's birth.
On her Instagram, Ina uploaded a video compilation of Jakob's childhood pictures and penned the *sweetest* message for her only son.
"You came into this world a little early. I was getting ready for my baby shower, putting on some makeup, when suddenly, my water broke. 'Oopsie' was all that I could say. At 37 weeks old, you weighed 6 lbs and 7 oz. You were tiny and looked so angelic," she wrote.
"I loved you with all of my heart the moment I clutched you gently in my arms. It’s the best kind of love. A love that pierces through your soul."
Ina shared that one of her favorite parts of Jakob's childhood included seeing him with different styles of bedhead every morning and him dressing up in superhero costumes every day. Aww!
Jakob may stand at an impressive 6'0 now, but his mom also shared that his height was actually an issue when he was younger. "I remember your height was an issue as teachers would mistake you as a grade-schooler when you were already a middle-schooler," she wrote.
"So one day, you told us you will touch the ceiling of our house, despite your lack of height. You were probably 11 at that time. You would jump every day, multiple times a day. Jumping and jumping and more jumping anywhere we went. This went on for months until voila, you touched our ceiling!"

It was here that Ina stressed her son's ability to set his mind on something and work hard for it, even at a young age. "So what was your point? That when you set your mind on something, you make it happen, and it’s because you know the meaning of hard work," she continued.
According to her, this mindset of his also applied to his athletic career. ICYDK, Jakob is currently a D1 baseball player in the US. "
That hard work and dedication also applied to baseball. You were only five when you started playing tee-ball. It’s just amazing how dad turned you into the baseball player you are today and it’s because you’ve been very diligent since day one. You never showed an attitude, defiance nor question your father’s plans for you."
Ending her post, Ina reminded Jakob to stay humble and kind, no matter what he does. "Keep doing what you’re doing. We love you and we’re always here for you, no matter what. Mom and dad are so blessed to have you, our only 'sonshine,'" she conluded.
How sweet! Belated happy birthday, Jakob!
