Reunions in the entertainment world often spark excitement among fans, as seen with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia coming together for their film Un/Happy For You. However, for fans of the #JaDine love team, a reunion between James Reid and Nadine Lustre seems out of reach for now.
In a recent interview with PEP.ph, James shared his thoughts on why he doesn't see a reunion project with Nadine happening anytime soon. "It's not in the cards for now," he said, clarifying that his focus is on exploring new opportunities as an actor. James emphasized his desire to step away from love team roles.
"When it comes to acting, I really want to start fresh and try different roles. I'm working with a lot of different people," he explained. James was also quick to note that his decision isn't due to any personal issues with Nadine, whom he believes has also grown and matured.
"I didn't get to work with many people before, so now I'm excited to collaborate with as many as possible," he added. James expressed his enthusiasm for working on diverse projects. James revealed he wanted to lead a teleserye or film. He hopes fans will continue to support him as he ventures into these new challenges.

James Reid opened up about his personal decision to step away from the spotlight for a time, sharing how he wanted to focus on self-discovery beyond acting and his previous love team roles. "So I wanted to explore music because music is very personal. You know, I get to write all the songs, I get to make the music. I get to conceptualize the music videos, everything," James shared.
"It's very personal. So I feel like I needed to do it. And I'm very happy where I am right now. I'm comfortable coming back to acting," he added, expressing his readiness to take on acting projects again after finding fulfillment in music.
In an earlier interview with Ogie Diaz, James revealed a perspective that might have surprised some fans but earned their respect. While he is gradually making his way back into acting, he candidly shared why love team projects are no longer part of his career plans. "I don't think that's happening. There's still that undying support that I'm always grateful for. Even as I transition to music, nandoon pa rin sila to promote my music and support," James said when asked about the possibility of working in a love team again.
"But out of respect for my girlfriend, Issa, I don't think I'll ever do another love team," James responded.
