Good news, JaneNella fans! Janella Salvador and Jane De Leon will be reuniting *soon* in a new film, How to Be a Good Wife. The pair will be starring alongside Susan Africa in the movie helmed by award-winning director Jun Robles Lana.
Regal Entertainment Inc. and IdeaFirst Company posted photos of Jane and Janella during the film's initial story conference. "J x J x J = Janella Salvador and Jane de Leon in a new film by Jun Robles Lana! #HowToBeAGoodWife, Also starring Ms Susan Africa. Filming soon! #JxJxJ," the caption read.
Janella also took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the exciting news with her fans and attached a photo of her with Susan and half of Jane cropped out, LOL! "Excited to work on this new film with Ms. Susan Africa and [hindi ko kilala]," she wrote.
She immediately followed it up with another reply and an *unedited* picture of the two of them: "chareng SO HAPPY TO WORK WITH YOU AGAIN MWAH." Aww, JaneNella is *so* back, you guys!
This new project comes months after Darna wrapped, where Jane and Janella played Darna/Narda Custodio and Valentina/Regina Vanguardia, respectively. Despite being mortal enemies on the show, fans couldn't help but notice the ~*chemistry*~ between the two actresses and called for a follow-up project.
While further details have yet to be released about How to Be a Good Wife, fans are already speculating whether or not the film will feature a sapphic storyline. Both Janella and Jane have been open about wanting to star in a GL (or girls' love) project in the past, so fingers crossed!
