Janella Salvador broke her silence amid her controversial remark on the noontime show, It's Showtime.
ICYMI, Janella went viral for her brief banter with It's Showtime host and fellow Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu. Some netizens judged Janella's remarks to be rude, while some defended her on social media.
On April 5, 2024, Friday, Janella took to X (formerly Twitter) her sincerest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who had been very supportive of her. "Oh wow. I’ve been meaning to explain myself because the last thing I would ever want is to appear rude or disrespectful," she began in her post.

What happened during Janella Salvador's It's Showtime guesting?
Janella appeared on It's Showtime together with her Thai co-star Win Metawin. The two are starring together in the romance-comedy film, Under Parallel Skies. They were promoting their film on It's Showtime.
But later during their segment, one of the hosts, Amy Perez, brought up Janella's upcoming anniversary concert, Janella: Reimagined, which is happening on April 19, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater. Janella's promotion of her concert also led to mentioning her newest single, "headtone."
Then came, Kim's request for a little snippet or "sample" of Janella's new song. Janella was honest enough to decline the request because she was't feeling her best..
"Sample! Sample naman, Janella, sa bago mong song," Kim requested.
"Medyo paos ako today," Janella replied as she held her throat. "Kayo na lang," she added, pointing to Kim and the other hosts.
Kim then addresses the audience, "Ah, pakinggan na lang namin [yung song]" while Darren Espanto interjects, "Sa susunod, mag-prod ka na lang dito sa Showtime."
Janella then promises the hosts and the audience that she will perform for them the next time she's there. "Next time, promise!" she noted.
