It's a reunion worth celebrating. Longtime friends Janella Salvador and Liza Soberano were spotted together once again!
The two seemed to have enjoyed a sumptuous meal together in Los Angeles. Janella flew to L.A. to promote her film with Piolo Pascual, Mallari, which was included in the Manila International Film Festival 2024 (MIFF 2024) at the TCL Chinese Theaters in Holly Boulevard.
Donning her new brunette locks, Janella uploaded a couple of her L.A. snaps on Instagram. She captioned it with, "and that was day one." Her post included photos of her meals, and shots of her chic and casual Califonia outfit—which she totally slayed!
But of course, we cannot miss the fact that she also shared a photo of her bonding moment with Liza. Seated beside each other, Janella and Liza's visuals made a case for posting an after-meal kind of pic. TBH, we're so happy to see them both!
Janella and Liza's friendship through the years
ICYDK, Janella and Liza, together with Julia Barretto, were Star Magic batchmates as they debuted under the talent agency's Batch 13.
In a 2018 interview, Janella talked about her special bond with Liza and Julia that went beyond just being Star Magic batchmates. "We (me and Liza) always remember to keep in touch, no matter what show, or movie, or project we're working on, we try to keep each other updated. Same with Julia," Janella disclosed.
When Janella was also pregnant with her son Jude, it was Liza who planned and threw a "secret maternity shoot" for the expecting mom! Janella thanked Liza in a heartfelt Instagram post last January 2021.
"This is an extra special post. I just wanna thank a good friend for planning and organizing a surprise baby shower for me before I left the country months ago... That friend is none other than @lizasoberano. Thank you. You are a gem," Janella wrote.
At present, Janella is busy promoting her film—and she's also preparing for her upcoming movie with Thai superstar Win Metawin called Under Parallel Skies.
Liza is currently promoting her soon-to-be-released film, Lisa Frankenstein. This project marks her Hollywood debut, after she departed from the local showbiz scene sometime in 2022.
