There's nothing wrong with gaining weight—or even with losing weight, so long as it's done in a healthy manner. What's wrong, at least for us, is nitpicking and publicly pointing out someone's weight or body. As the saying goes, if you can't change it within 10 seconds, it's not worth or proper to even mention it. Instances like this come and go for ordinary citizens, especially celebrities. While some make their sassy clapbacks, Janine Gutierrez decided to send over a classy response in a recent comment she encountered.
It was a comment seemingly trying to make a case against Janine's latest photos for a liquor brand. ICYDK, she was recently announced as a calendar cover girl and well, she looked stunning in it! It's just that one comment that kind of ruined the celebratory vibe for her new achievement, noting that the liquor brand's team did some intense editing on Janine's photos. The comment read, "Grabe pagkaka-edit ah. Napakanipis niya sa photo niya pero 'nung launching ang taba niya po. Grabe ang photoshop @asiabreweryofficial."
Janine, who was actively responding to all the positive comments and reacting with all the hearts she could give, also replied to the commenter. Take note: she did it as chill and kindly as she could! She wrote, "I can see how this can be confusing! We shot the calendar in October and the launch was in December :) In those two months, I went to Japan for the film festival, attended Thanksgiving parties for our show, and really took a break from strict diet and workout."
The actress also left some pieces of advice for the commenter and for everyone when it comes to achieving a goal and getting in shape. "I always take it easy during the holidays and enjoy my body in its different shapes, you should too," Janine said while also leaving a heart emoji in her reply. Such a lovely answer!

Janine Gutierrez's fruitful 2024
There's so much that can be said about Janine this year. For the most part, she was everywhere—film festivals, tapings for her new show, back-to-back magazine covers, and of course, she's been keeping her fans updated about her off-cam life as well through her vlogs.
Janine starred in Lav Diaz's Phantosmia which premiered both at the Venice Film Festival and at the Tokyo Film Festival just this year. She's also one of the lead stars in the new teleserye, Lavender Fields together with Jodi Sta. Maria, Jolina Magdangal, and Jericho Rosales.
Speaking of Jericho, in case you didn't know, the two explored Japan together during the run of Phantosmia at the mentioned Tokyo Film Festival. The two have admitted that they're dating, and it all started when they began working on their show together.
Since they publicized their relationship, Echo has been showing off his love, support, appreciation, and everything in between for Janine all over Instagram. He's been leaving flirty comments and hyping up Janine's recent posts—whether it's about her new bob cut or new projects.
In case you haven't seen it, Echo jokingly joined Janine's fan club. He posted a photo holding a tarpaulin of Janine's new calendar cover. Just today, Janine shared that the tarpaulin was given to her by her siblings on the night of ABS-CBN's Christmas Special, LOL!
