Since the start of her newly single era, Kathryn Bernardo has been linked to a couple of fellow celebs, one of them being Jericho Rosales.
It all began after some netizens spotted the two jogging together, and the internet couldn't help but think of a possible ~*romance*~ brewing between the two Kapamilya stars. But, it was Kathryn herself who clarified things and revealed that it wasn't just the two of them working out. They were with John Manalo, a long-time friend of Kath who is also Echo's nephew. She shared that John invited her to go night jogging with them.
Aside from that, Kathryn and Jericho have been enjoying their friendship, with Echo often leaving *supportive* comments on Kath's photo diaries on Instagram. They were also spotted with other celebs at Mr. M or Johnny Manahan's birthday celebration.
Jericho Rosales Indirectly Denies Rumors Of Him "Courting" Kathryn Bernardo
Despite their clear friendship, netizens still couldn't help but ship the two artists. However, Jericho recently ~*indirectly*~ debunked the rumors of a brewing romance between them.
"Is finding new love part of your 2024?" entertainment reporter MJ Felipe asked him, and Jericho replied with a simple "No."
"So the rumors are not true?" MJ asked, possibly referring to all the rumors between Echo and Kath.
"What rumors?" Echo quipped, adding that he prefers not to spend too much time on social media.
"Sometimes, I do, but no, I'd rather not. I don't wanna pollute my mind," he stated.
Echo also noted that it's "too early for that," as the news of his separation from his ex-wife Kim Jones was only made public earlier this year.
"I love my job. It's the year of rebuilding things," he added.
Jericho Rosales Is Busy With His Acting Comeback
True to his word, Jericho has no time for his love life as he is in the middle of making his acting comeback after a years-long hiatus.
The February 2024 Cosmo cover star is currently working on Eliseo, a film that was co-written by him and his ex-wife Kim. His soon-to-stream series, Sellblock, recently finished taping in April 2024.
"I have a slate. I've prepared the slate for myself, which I'm working on from 2024 to 2027. You'll definitely see me in the cinemas this year," he teased in his Cosmo cover story.
As for his professional relationship with Kathryn, Jericho had already stated an interest in working with the actress as early as 2016.
"I really wanna work with her... even Kim [Jones] and I, we really find her beautiful, parang Pinay na maganda. Of course hindi ko na i-explain kung bakit madaming humahanga sa kanya," he said in an interview uploaded by their home talent agency, Star Magic.
In 2019, Echo again expressed his intent on collaborating with Kath, who, at the time, was filming her soon-to-be blockbuster film with Alden Richards, Hello, Love, Goodbye.
On the other side of the coin, Kathryn also noted her interest in working on a future collaboration with Jericho, should there be a good pitch.
"Ngayon kasi, siyempre may ipi-pitch sila, hindi ko alam kung pwede na ba siya sabihin or anything, but you know, like what I've said before, I'm very open to work with anybody now. Especially, Echo, he's been very vocal," she stated in an interview with MJ Felipe in 2024.
"He's such a nice guy. Sobrang bait niya. So ayaw mo bang maka-trabaho 'yung ganon? So let's just see. I just wish the universe will do something about it. Let's see," she added.
