Jessa's viral video was not meant to showcase her makeup or her timeless voice. It was actually made to promote her daughter's new song, "Right Lover, Wrong Time." In fact, it was Jayda Avanzado who uploaded her mom's video on her Facebook page.
According to Jessa, the video was not scripted. Jayda surprised her mother with a challenge to "continue the lyrics" to her new song. However when Jessa took on the challenge, she happened to be washing the dishes, giving a glimpse at a candid moment at home.
While other netizens praised how beautiful and lovely her voice was, others remarked on her full glam during the video. Some were quite amused to see her wearing makeup while doing the dishes. One netizen even questioned, "Dapat ba full makeup washing the dishes?"
After seeing the comment, Jessa decided to give the netizen an explanation of why she ended up washing the dishes with makeup on.
"Galing kasi akong show nyan," the singer began. She elaborated by detailing how her day went from doing a show to doing their house chores right after. She also mentioned that they do not have a helper at home.
"Di na ako nakapagpalit ng damit at tanggal makeup galing trabaho. Gawa agad ng naiwang gawaing bahay para matapos na at gabi na 'yan," she furthered.
Jessa ended her reply with, "Ok na ba sa'yo itong explanation ko?! Pasensya ka na ha."
Other netizens found their exchange quite amusing and chimed in. However, Jessa offered another lengthy explanation, asking everyone to let the issue rest.
"Di kasi scripted 'yan, Binigla lang ako ni Jayda," the singer noted as she once again went over all her chores and routine that day.
