Juan Karlos Labajo or JK is back with not just another *eargasmic* album, but a heartbreaking one this time around.
"This album originally started out as a compilation of all the love songs that I made for someone whom I gave so much of myself to," JK wrote in his Instagram post dated September 27.
His new album, Sad Songs & Bullshit, was released last September 24 and it consists of 9 original tracks. JK opened up about how his newest tracks were originally love songs that turned into sad ones after things didn't turn out as expected in his last relationship.
"Things didn't turn out the way I hoped for. The songs started to not make any sense. All the songs for love turned into songs for sadness," he explained, as he shared the story behind his album's title.
The singer-actor also announced that his new album will soon have a second part sometime in 2024.
While he did not mention who the songs were dedicated to, it was public knowledge that JK had a long-term relationship with model Maureen Wroblewitz.
The Asia's Next Top Model Season 5 winner opened up about their split in 2022. On social media, Maureen even admitted that it was a *messy* breakup between the both of them.
Regardless of a hurtful separation, JK and Maureen still wished the best for one another. "I hope she goes through whatever she's going through. [...] We're on good terms naman. I just want what's best for her and that she's happy," JK told PEP.ph.
