ICYDK: Joshua Garcia has been the subject of a rumored romance with Pinay-French golfer Emilienne Vigier for a few months now, which started when a couple of eagle-eyed netizens spotted them posting ~similar~ photos after they seemingly went on a dreamy vacation in Palawan.
While Joshua has mostly kept mum about this new relationship (save for a very ~*adorable*~ interaction online), it seems that the heartthrob actor has broken his silence regarding it. When asked on the topic by reporters during the mediacon for his upcoming film Fruitcake, the 25-year-old actor didn't deny what was going on between him and the talented golfer.
"About that, okay, para ma-klaro na lahat and wala na ring maitanong ang lahat, baka sabihin kasi nila, dine-deny ko yung babae, diba?"
He added, without mentioning Emilienne's name: "Hindi ko siya dine-deny. It's just that ako and her decided not to share it to everyone kasi yung relationship na yan, eh kami lang naman yung parte don."
He went on to explain his choice about wanting to keep his newfound relationship more private this time around.
"Galing na kasi ako sa iba’t ibang klase ng relationships and everytime na shine-share ko siya sa lahat, parang nagkakagulo, nagiging shaky yung relationship eh. Hangga’t maaari kasi, sa panahon ngayon, mas okay kung private na lang tayo."
Joshua echoed the same sentiment in his September 2023 Cosmo cover, noting that he preferred to keep his dating life under wraps. "In my opinion, what happens between you and your partner should remain between the two of you alone. It is your life together and your problems shouldn’t be shared to anyone because those experiences and hurdles can only be fixed by the two of you.”
As of this writing, Emilienne has yet to publicly comment on their relationship.
